My neighbors were installing solar system last December. so I checked into it. With the abundance of sun in Florida it made this simple decision possible. Started with the site survey and permit application, Decided to maximize number of solar panels as well as expend the battery storage as well. Each change order was very seamless. The initial installation was completed in April, and then we waited for Duke approval from Duke Power to be exporter of power (we were out of state for over a month as well). All work was finally completed in early July and everything is working properly. Since we ended up with generating this extra solar power we purchased a Tesla EV to take advantage of free charging. Last week we had 3 power outages in Tarpon Springs, everything worked seamless and we did not loose our power.
